Business Consortium Partners with North Lake College for $895,319 Job-Training Grant

CONEXIS Benefits Administrators (CONEXIS) and Mentor Texas (Mentor) have partnered with North Lake College to provide job training using an $895,319 Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).

The grant will be used to provide 657 new and incumbent workers with information technology and industry-specific regulatory and lean training. Those trained will include production workers, customer service representatives, quality technicians and business operations specialists. Upon completion of training, the workers will earn an average hourly wage of $23.76.

TWC Chairman and Commissioner Representing the Public Andres Alcantar will present a check to CONEXIS President Michael Close and Director of Human Resources for Johnson & Johnson (Mentor’s parent company) Jennifer Hannah at a 10 a.m. ceremony to be held in the First Floor Training Room A/B of the CONEXIS building located at 6191 N. State Highway 161 in Irving.
